 Introduction

The Repair Cost Estimator has powerful built-in sort/filter functions and navigation buttns that help you quickly navigate and analyze your estimate data by Scope of Work, Labor Material, Subcontracted work & as well as DIY items.

Sorting/Navigating the Estimate by Scope of Work

At the top of the spreadsheet you will find the Scope of Work breakdown which provide a running tally of costs for each scope of work.

Next to these items, are navigation buttons, which can be used to quickly navigate between scopes of work and identify and refine scope within your estimate.

Simply click on the button next to the scope that you want to examine and the spreadsheet will sort the estimate by that scope of work.

Sorting/Navigating the Estimate by Labor, Material or Subcontracted Work

On the left, you will find a Breakdown by Labor Material, Subcontracted Work.  These navigation options help quickly identify all labor, material items, or subcontracted work on the project.

By clicking the labor button, you can quickly identify estimated labor items that will be performed by you or your contractors, and the unit and total costs included for each item.

Material items can be identified so you can review your material estimate for each item, and make any necessary adjustments to meet the desired level of finish.

Work items being subcontracted are also easiliy identifiable, so you can quickly recognize what work will be performed by you or your General Contractor, and what work will be subcontracted to outside vendors.

Sorting the Estimate by Do-It-Yourself Items

The DIY button on the left compiles all items that you intend on doing yourself, so you can quickly see what work items you will be responsible performing and how much you will save by performing those items.

Resetting the Spreadsheet

And finally, when you are done sorting the estimate simply click the reset button in the upper right hand corner, to reset the spreadsheet and show all items within the estimate.
